Dreamy...

Slowdive was a Dream pop / Shoegazing band formed in 1989, lasting until 1995. The band was formed in Reading, Berkshire, England and soon signed to Creation Records in the UK. The band consisted of Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar), Nick Chaplin (bass), Christian Savill (guitar), Adrian Sell (drums, 1989), Simon Scott (drums, 1990 until early 1994) and Ian McCutcheon (drums, 1994 to 1995). Goswell and Halstead had known each other since early childhood in Reading, Berkshire, when Goswell was an obsessive fan of The Smiths. When Savill and Chaplin left the band after the release of Pygmalion, the remaining members renamed the band Mojave 3.

Hours are being cut at work. Double-You-Tee-Eff. I feel like screaming or something but I know that won't do any good. Money has been tight and it looks like I may have to go without internet again for a period of time. Possibly without cable, too. My emergency fund is just about gone so I can't really dip into that anymore to pay all the bills. Roommate is trying her best to help but things aren't going so hot at her job either.

There isn't a big enough "UGH" for this whole situation. :\

Alison's Halo was a dream pop band from Tempe, Arizona. Their airy vocals and delayed riffs were often also associated with shoegazing or space pop. Their first single, "Dozen", was released in 1995. Their first CD, Eyedazzler, is a compilation of songs the band created between 1992 and 1996, was released on the first of January the next year. Since then, they have released a handful of cassettes and singles.

Congratulations on staying single

What Is Your Battle Cry?

Lo! Who is that, prowling across the plains! It is Maxy, hands clutching gilded boxing gloves! She cries mightily:

"I'm going to contort you until your rump glows, and launch you into deep space!!!"
